Internship Program Details

The NITI Aayog Internship Scheme invites applications from undergraduate/postgraduate students and research scholars affiliated with accredited educational institutions both in India and internationally. Selected participants will collaborate directly with various specialized divisions within NITI Aayog through an online application process.

Program Objectives

This initiative aims to:

1. Provide selected candidates with hands-on experience across different NITI Aayog departments

2. Facilitate meaningful engagement between young scholars and policymaking processes

3. Offer practical understanding of government operations and developmental challenges

4. Enable contributions to policy development through research, analytical reports, and policy recommendations

Program Specifications

• Format: On-site engagement

• Location: NITI Aayog headquarters, New Delhi

• Duration: Minimum 6 weeks, maximum 6 months

• Application Deadline: June 10, 2025

Eligibility Requirements

The program welcomes applications from currently enrolled students meeting the following criteria:

1. Undergraduate Applicants:

   • Completion of second year/fourth semester examinations

   • Minimum 85% aggregate in Class 12 examinations

2. Graduate/Postgraduate Applicants:

   • Completion of first year/second semester of postgraduate studies

   • Minimum 70% aggregate in undergraduate studies

   • PhD candidates/research scholars may also apply

3. Recent Graduates:

   • Candidates awaiting admission to advanced programs may apply

   • Must maintain 70% cumulative score in all completed semesters

   • Applications must be submitted within six months of final examination results
