About Digital India Bhashini Division
Under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Digital India Bhashini Division (DIBD) operates as part of the Digital India Programme. This division is responsible for executing the National Language Translation Mission (NLTM), popularly known as Bhashini.
Bhashini is designed to create a comprehensive language technology ecosystem by collaborating with top academic institutions like IITs and IIITs. It functions as an integrated platform, bringing together multiple stakeholders to support and promote digital accessibility across Indian languages.
About the Internship
The Digital India Bhashini Division is currently inviting applications for its internship programme. This initiative offers law students a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge language technology projects and policy-related work in a tech-governance framework.
Eligibility Criteria

Open to Indian nationals enrolled in recognised Indian universities.

Applicants must have secured at least 60% marks in their last completed degree or must have completed at least two years of study in a 5-year LL.B. programme.
Duration

The internship is conducted twice a year in structured batches.

The minimum duration is 2 months and may be extended up to 3 months depending on intern performance and availability.

Each intern will be assigned a mentor from the DIBD team for guidance and supervision.
Location

The internship will be conducted on-site at New Delhi.
Number of Positions

1 internship slot is available for the upcoming cycle.
Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹20,000.
