Job Role: Assistant Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic legal advice to Johnson & Johnson Medical India (JJMI), particularly in litigation management and public tender support.

Draft and review various legal agreements including those related to property, distribution, sponsorships, consultancy, outsourcing, and product licensing.

Support the Legal Director on compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and internal policies.

Collaborate with the Country Lead Counsel on developing and implementing risk management strategies, training, and preventative measures.

Handle legal matters for multiple business functions including HR, Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Communications.

Oversee dispute resolution and litigation for business operations as assigned.

Provide guidance on corporate policies such as the Code of Business Conduct, FCPA, Corporate Integrity Agreements, and Health Care Compliance standards.

Facilitate cross-functional legal collaboration with local, regional, and global teams.

Review and approve promotional materials and digital initiatives for regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
-
LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputable Indian law school or university.

3–5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in litigation is essential.

Strong command of written and spoken English.

Prior in-house legal experience in the healthcare or multinational corporate sector is preferred.
