Role Overview
We are hiring a Legal Manager to lead and manage debt recovery efforts through strategic litigation and enforcement actions. This role is ideal for legal professionals with in-depth experience in loan recovery under laws like SARFAESI, NI Act, and Arbitration frameworks. You’ll work closely with advocates, oversee litigation across regions, and drive outcomes for high-value non-performing assets (NPAs).
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute legal strategies for loan recovery in accordance with SARFAESI Act, NI Act, Arbitration and Conciliation Act, CPC, and other relevant recovery laws.

Represent the organization before courts, tribunals, and legal authorities.

Coordinate with empaneled advocates nationwide by providing precise instructions and monitoring legal proceedings.

Draft and review legal documentation such as demand notices, legal replies, petitions, plaints, affidavits, and other recovery-related materials to ensure legal integrity and compliance.

Assess and manage high-risk/NPA accounts, recommending and implementing tailored legal solutions to maximize recoveries.

Maintain and update a Legal Case Management System (MIS) for effective tracking.

Prepare region-wise legal reports and case updates for senior management, ensuring transparency and performance analysis.
Qualifications & Skills

Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized university.

Strong expertise in debt recovery-related laws including SARFAESI, NI Act, Arbitration and Conciliation, and Civil/Criminal procedure.

Clear communication and the ability to convey complex legal concepts to internal business teams.

Strategic thinking and judgment skills to manage litigation priorities and critical cases.

High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases under tight timelines.

Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to risk mitigation and dispute resolution.
