Role Overview
We are hiring a Civic Engagement and Advocacy Intern for a full-time, on-site position in Satara. The intern will play a vital role in supporting public policy initiatives, building community engagement strategies, and facilitating advocacy efforts to strengthen democratic participation and inclusive governance.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct policy research and contribute to advocacy strategies

Assist in developing policy briefs, reports, and community engagement plans

Organize and participate in grassroots activities and stakeholder meetings

Support media outreach and communication campaigns

Collaborate on strategic planning sessions to drive democratic engagement

Engage with local stakeholders and organizations to implement outreach activities
Qualifications

Strong skills in policy research, analysis, and advocacy development

Experience or interest in community organizing and civic engagement

Familiarity with media communications and stakeholder collaboration

Proficiency in strategic planning and report writing

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative on-site team

Background in public policy, political campaigns, or governance is an advantage

Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field
