About the Opportunity
The Chambers of Devashish Chauhan is inviting applications for the role of Advocate to actively manage litigation matters before key judicial forums such as the NCLT, NCLAT, Delhi High Court, and the Supreme Court of India. This position offers an excellent opportunity for lawyers with prior litigation experience to handle high-stake corporate and commercial disputes. The selected candidate will work closely on cases involving complex legal issues, drafting pleadings, and appearing in court. It is a dynamic role that demands both legal acumen and practical courtroom exposure.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess 2 to 4 years of practical experience in litigation. They should have a strong understanding of procedural and substantive law and the ability to handle cases independently. The ideal candidate is expected to be proficient in legal research and drafting, as well as possess effective oral advocacy skills. Prior exposure to handling matters in forums such as NCLT and NCLAT will be highly valued, as the work profile predominantly involves corporate and insolvency litigation.
Desired Skills and Experience
Candidates must demonstrate excellent drafting and communication abilities to prepare pleadings, submissions, and legal opinions effectively. The role requires the capability to manage matters with minimal supervision, making self-reliance an essential attribute. Familiarity with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) and prior experience in representing clients before NCLT and NCLAT are strongly preferred. These competencies will help the candidate efficiently handle corporate disputes and insolvency proceedings before specialized tribunals.
Remuneration
The salary for this position will be in line with prevailing industry standards. The exact remuneration will depend on the candidate’s prior experience, expertise, and ability to independently handle litigation matters. Job Location
The selected advocate will be based out of Defence Colony, New Delhi. This location is strategically advantageous as it provides close proximity to various courts and tribunals, including the Delhi High Court, NCLT, and NCLAT. The position requires in-person attendance, given the nature of litigation work, which involves regular court appearances and client conferences.
