About the Role
Latitude Subrogation Services LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Claims Support Specialist to be part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage the complete subrogation process—covering investigation, negotiation, and settlement—while identifying subrogation opportunities for assigned claims. You will act as the primary liaison between our clients and our network of attorneys, ensuring smooth and efficient coordination of litigated subrogation cases. Key Responsibilities
As a Claims Support Specialist, you will navigate our proprietary database and manage electronic documents to process and resolve claims effectively. Your work will involve maintaining up-to-date diaries, documenting all recovery activities, and setting timely follow-ups on subrogation matters. You will regularly communicate with insurance clients, insured individuals, responsible parties, attorneys, and law enforcement agencies. In addition, you will conduct legal research, manage court records, draft pleadings, and handle discovery documentation while complying with court rules and civil procedures. You will also participate in hearings, trials, and mediations, all while building strong partnerships with attorney vendors and court venues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma and a minimum of two years of claims-handling experience, with proven ability to manage subrogation files of moderate to high complexity. A thorough understanding of various subrogation claims—such as auto, property, and workers’ compensation—is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, multiple computer systems, and client/vendor applications is required. Strong communication skills, the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally, and excellent conflict management are critical. You should also have a deep understanding of insurance laws, industry trends, and arbitration procedures, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, candidates with an Associate Degree, Paralegal Certification, or at least three years of experience in a court or law firm setting will have an advantage. Experience in plaintiff litigation or trial court proceedings, as well as holding the Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional (CSRP) designation, is highly valued. These qualifications demonstrate advanced expertise in legal processes, litigation strategy, and claims negotiation, positioning you to excel in complex subrogation cases. Candidates with such credentials will bring an added depth of knowledge and practical skills to our team, enhancing efficiency and ensuring superior client outcomes.
