About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Officer to join our team. The role involves managing legal processes across regions, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and providing strong legal support in property, litigation, and recovery-related matters.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate with local and regional lawyers regarding legal report formats, payments, and title discussions.

Conduct periodic visits to lawyers across the region to share challenges and updates.

Initiate and coordinate property valuations and reports for properties.

Vet original legal documents and sign off on their compliance.

Handle legal recoveries including filing of Section 138 cases and matters under CERSAI.

Review property title exceptions, missing documents, laminated papers, and other title checks.

Liaise with customers and internal departments for legal reports.

Draft standard formats of indemnity bonds, affidavits, and other legal documentation.

Manage storage of lawyer and vendor agreements.

Assist recovery team with property checks and legal recovery processes.
-
Oversee registered mortgage processes and ensure compliance.
-
Monitor and ensure adherence to RBI compliance and regulatory requirements.
-
Draft and finalize agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to protect company interests.

Maintain trackers for updated case statuses of all legal cases.

File and pursue civil/criminal complaints against customers, dealers, and agencies in consultation with the Head of Department.

Represent the company at regular court hearings, including filing under Section 138 and CERSAI cases.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Qualifications & Experience
-
LLB/LLM from a reputed university in India.
-
3–5 years of relevant legal experience in litigation, property, and compliance.
