About the Organization

Sawalsha Leasing & Finance Pvt. Ltd. is a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) based in Connaught Place, New Delhi, with a strong presence in the finance and corporate sector. The company is known for its compliance-driven operations and emphasis on adhering to regulatory standards. As part of its commitment to nurturing young legal talent, Sawalsha Leasing & Finance is offering law students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate law, compliance, and legal research. Interns at the organization will benefit from exposure to both the financial and regulatory aspects of the corporate sector, making it a valuable opportunity for students aspiring to build careers in corporate legal practice.

Eligibility

The internship is open to law students enrolled in LL.B. or B.A. LL.B. programmes from the 3rd year onwards. Applicants must demonstrate strong research and drafting abilities, as these skills will form the foundation of their daily responsibilities. While prior knowledge of corporate law, RBI compliance, and labour law is an advantage, it is not a mandatory requirement. The ideal candidate should possess attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to adapt to the fast-paced environment of a financial company. This internship is best suited for students who are passionate about corporate law and want to gain real-world exposure to compliance and regulatory work.

Role

Selected interns will play an active role in supporting the legal and compliance functions of the organization. Their responsibilities will include drafting legal documents and agreements, assisting in compliance and regulatory filings, conducting research on corporate and financial laws, and preparing detailed legal reports. Interns will also be expected to review company policies and contracts to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards. This role offers practical insights into the functioning of an NBFC, providing students with a deeper understanding of the interplay between finance, regulation, and law. By working closely with experienced professionals, interns will have the chance to refine their legal skills and develop a strong foundation in corporate compliance and regulatory affairs.

How to Apply

Interested candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can apply by sending their updated CVs to hr@sawalsha.com with the subject line “Application – Legal Internship.” Applicants are encouraged to highlight relevant coursework, academic achievements, or prior internships related to corporate or compliance law. Since the internship is work-from-office at Connaught Place, New Delhi, candidates must ensure they are available to attend in person for the duration of the program.
