Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the position of Legal Advisor, candidates must hold a full-time bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.), either through a 3-year or 5-year course, with a minimum of 65% marks from a recognized university in India. A master’s degree in law (LL.M.), preferably in Corporate Law, will be considered an additional qualification and an advantage during the selection process. Applicants should currently be serving in a similar capacity, such as Legal Advisor or Legal Assistant, in government departments, semi-government institutions, public sector undertakings (PSUs), or private limited companies. A minimum of five years of professional experience is mandatory, along with three years of specific expertise in corporate law, arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, and matters under the M.P. Madhyastham Adhiniyam, 1983. Preference will be given to candidates with an LL.M. specialization in Corporate Law, reflecting the Corporation’s emphasis on expertise in this domain.
Role of Legal Advisor
The Legal Advisor at MPBDC will serve as a key resource in managing the corporation’s legal affairs and ensuring strict adherence to all applicable laws and regulations. The role involves providing legal opinions, drafting contracts, and guiding management on corporate compliance and arbitration issues. The Advisor will also represent the organization in legal proceedings, particularly in matters related to corporate law and arbitration. Given the corporation’s active involvement in infrastructure projects, the Legal Advisor will play an essential role in mitigating legal risks, resolving disputes, and ensuring that contracts and agreements are framed in a manner that safeguards the interests of the corporation.
