About the Organization

The Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (MAT) was established to provide quick and specialized adjudication of disputes and service matters related to government employees in the state. Functioning under the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985, the Tribunal ensures efficient disposal of cases that would otherwise burden the regular courts. With its principal seat in Mumbai and benches in Nagpur and Aurangabad, MAT plays a crucial role in addressing disputes related to recruitment, appointments, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and other service conditions of state employees. The General Administrative Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai has now announced vacancies for the post of Member (Judicial) at its Mumbai Principal Bench and the Nagpur Bench, offering an opportunity to contribute to the state’s judicial and administrative justice system.
