Eligibility
This internship opportunity is designed for motivated law students in the final stages of their academic journey. Applicants should be in the latter phase of their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dutch law and eager to gain real-world legal experience. Candidates must be available for a 5–6 month internship between Q3 2025 and Q1 2026. Strong communication skills in English are essential, while knowledge of Dutch, Italian, or German is considered an asset. An interest or background in privacy, GDPR, or commercial law will give candidates an added advantage. The ideal applicant is independent, curious, and detail-oriented, but also thrives in team-based environments.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Legal Intern at FORTNA, you will work directly with the Legal Director for the company’s international operations. This role provides hands-on exposure to a wide range of legal functions. Responsibilities include assisting with contract management, corporate housekeeping, and privacy reviews, while also supporting business advisory tasks such as analyzing payment terms, retention schedules, and liability matters. You will gain practical knowledge of B2B operations and the role of legal counsel in a global company. The position is a blend of independent assignments and collaborative work, offering a balanced and dynamic experience in the legal domain.
