The Centre for Maritime, Admiralty, and Navigation Laws (C-MAN) at Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU), in partnership with Bose & Mitra & Co. is pleased to announce the 2nd DSNLU- BMC Blog Writing Competition 2025-26.
DSNLU, a leading law university in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, is dedicated to promoting legal education and fostering social and economic justice through advocacy, legal services, and law reforms. The Centre for Maritime, Admiralty, and Navigation Laws (C-MAN) is committed to advancing research and excellence in maritime law and related fields.
This competition aims to encourage students and scholars to delve into contemporary maritime legal issues. Participants are invited to submit original blog entries that present fresh insights, critical analysis, and innovative perspectives on legal challenges in the shipping industry.

- Decarbonisation and Green Fuel Transition in Indian Shipping
- Digitalisation of Shipping: Lessons from Global Maritime Hubs
- Maritime Labour Convention Compliance and Seafarer Welfare Reforms in India
- The Future of Autonomous Vessels and International Liability Norms
- Regional Maritime Cooperation and Legal Harmonisation in the Indo-Pacific
Submission Guidelines

- Authors: Individual submissions only; co-authorship and multiple submissions are not allowed.
- Word Limit: 1200-1500 words.
- Format: Times New Roman, font size 12, 1.5 line spacing.
- File Format: Submissions in .doc or .docx format.
- Originality: Must be original and unpublished, with plagiarism (above 15%) leading to disqualification.
- References: Preferably as hyperlinks; if not possible, use OSCOLA 4th Edition endnotes.

Fee
INR 250 registration fee per participant.

- Opening of Registration: 23 October 2025
- Last Date of Submission: 15 December 2025
- Announcement of Results: January 2026
Awards
- 1st Prize: INR 5,000, Certificate of Achievement, and an internship opportunity at Bose & Mitra & Co.
- 2nd Prize: INR 2,000, Certificate of Achievement, and an internship at Bose & Mitra & Co.
- 3rd Prize: Certificate of Achievement, and an internship at Bose & Mitra & Co.
- Honorable Mentions: Up to two honorable mentions, each with a Certificate of Recognition.
