
About the Organisations
Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College
Established in 1970 by the Chaudhuri Foundation Trust, the College has been a premier institution under the University of Calcutta. It was founded to honour the legacy of Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri, a prominent nationalist and legal luminary who founded Calcutta Weekly Notes. Over the decades, the College has earned permanent affiliation from the University of Calcutta and recognition from the Bar Council of India for its high academic standards and vibrant legal education culture.
Department of Legal Science, Techno India University, West Bengal
The Department is dedicated to nurturing future leaders of the legal profession through comprehensive programmes, including B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. in Law. Integrating law with management, technology, and social sciences, it fosters analytical thinking, professional ethics, and innovation in legal education. The Department promotes experiential learning through moot courts, legal aid, debates, and internships.
About the Seminar
The two-day international seminar seeks to commemorate Constitution Day and foster interdisciplinary dialogue on the empowerment of vulnerable communities. It will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, paper presentations and publication opportunities for selected papers in an edited book with ISBN or an ISSN journal.
The hybrid format ensures broad participation—offline sessions at Techno India University, Kolkata and online sessions for national and international participants.
About Call for Papers
Scholars, academicians, researchers, professionals, policymakers and activists from across disciplines are invited to submit original research on the seminar themes. Co-authorship is permitted (maximum one co-author).
Selected abstracts will be invited for presentation during the seminar, and outstanding papers will be considered for publication.
