The chamber offers litigation-focused legal services with a primary emphasis on criminal law practice. The internship programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic legal education and practical courtroom experience by providing interns with direct exposure to real cases, litigation strategy, and court procedures. Interns work closely with practicing advocates and gain insight into the functioning of the Orissa High Court, Sessions Courts, and other judicial forums.
Position Overview
The internship provides practical training in criminal litigation and related legal work. Selected interns will assist in ongoing matters, observe court proceedings, and contribute to drafting, research, and case preparation under professional supervision.
Eligibility Criteria
Duration:
As per the internship cycle offered by the chamber.
Education:
Law students pursuing LL.B. / BA LL.B. or equivalent degree.

Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Appearances and assistance before the Orissa High Court, Sessions Courts, Lower Courts, and Tribunals
- Drafting pleadings, applications, and written submissions
- Conducting legal research and procedural analysis
- Preparing case notes, briefings, and compilations
- Assisting in briefing senior counsel
- Participating in client conferences and chamber discussions
- Supporting litigation strategy and matter management
- Exposure primarily to criminal litigation, with allied civil and writ matters
