The HIET Group of Institutions, Himachal Pradesh, in collaboration with Lex Maven LLP, is organizing the 1st HILS National Level Moot Court Competition 2026, also known as the Lex Maven CDIL National Moot Court Competition. HIET is committed to holistic education and leadership development, focusing on “Man-Making” by nurturing individuals who combine professional competence with strong ethical values. Through initiatives such as this national moot court competition, the institution aims to foster intellectual growth, legal scholarship, and professional discipline among law students.
About the Event
The 1st HILS National Level Moot Court Competition 2026 is designed as a national platform for law students to experience the dynamics of appellate court advocacy. The competition emphasizes research-focused scholarship, analytical reasoning, and ethical lawyering, enabling participants to apply legal theory in a simulated courtroom setting.
Participants will engage in drafting memorials, presenting oral arguments, and responding to judicial queries—mirroring the real-world functioning of appellate courts. The event aims to strengthen students’ advocacy skills, legal research abilities, and professional confidence while providing exposure to competitive mooting at a national level.

Team Composition
Each participating team must consist of three members:
- Two Speakers
- One Researcher
Awards
- Winner Team: ₹10,000 + Certificate of Merit + Memento
- Runner-Up Team: ₹5,000 + Certificate of Merit + Memento
- Best Memorial: ₹2,500 + Certificate of Merit + Memento
- Best Speaker: ₹2,500 + Certificate of Merit + Memento
- Best Researcher: ₹2,500 + Certificate of Merit + Memento
- Participation Certificates for all registered participants.

The competition focuses on appellate advocacy, encouraging participants to engage in rigorous legal research, structured argumentation, and ethical legal practice. Teams are expected to follow the competition rules regarding memorial drafting, citation standards, and oral advocacy procedures.

₹5,000 per team.

- Complete the online registration form and submit the registration fee.
- Ensure that the team is authorized by the Dean or Moot Court Society Head of the institution.
