
Firm’s Overview:
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is a statutory body established under the Competition Act, 2002. It is responsible for preventing anti-competitive practices, promoting fair competition, and protecting consumer interests in the Indian market.
Position Overview:
CCI invites applications for its Internship Programme, aimed at providing students with practical exposure to competition law, regulatory frameworks, and policy analysis. Interns are assigned to different divisions and work under the supervision of officers.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Indian nationals only
- Students from recognized institutions
- Law students:
- 2nd/3rd year (3-year LL.B.)
- 4th/final year (5-year LL.B.)
- LL.M. students eligible
- Preference to candidates with exposure to competition law
- Students with confirmed placements are not eligible
Duration:
- Normally 1 month (starting from the first working day of the month)
- Can be extended to 2–3 months with institutional recommendation
Education:
- LL.B. (3-year or 5-year course)
- LL.M.
- Also open to students of Economics, Management, Finance, Regulatory Governance, CA/CS/CMA (as applicable)

Commitment:
- Completion of assigned research/project work
- Mandatory presentation/report submission at the end of internship
- Active participation under mentor supervision
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities:
- Legal and policy research in competition law
- Analysis of anti-competitive practices and market behaviour
- Assisting in ongoing cases, reports, and advocacy work
- Preparing presentations and reports on assigned topics
- Supporting regulatory and economic analysis
Location
New Delhi (CCI Office – Kidwai Nagar East)
Stipend / Perks
- ₹15,000 per month (honorarium)
- Internship completion certificate (subject to satisfactory performance)
Extension: Possible up to 2–3 months with recommendation from the concerned institution
Mentorship:
- Interns are guided by officers/mentors from respective divisions
- Continuous supervision and evaluation during internship
