The India Gold Policy Centre (IGPC) at IIM Ahmedabad is a specialized research centre focused on policy advisory, economic research, and market analysis relating to the gold industry in India. It works closely with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and academia to develop data-driven insights and policy frameworks.
Position Overview:
The position of Vice President – Research at IGPC is a senior-level role involving leadership of research initiatives, policy-oriented projects, and institutional collaborations. The role requires managing multidisciplinary research teams and contributing to high-impact policy outputs in the domain of economics, finance, and public policy.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise research projects related to gold policy, financial systems, and economic analysis
- Design and execute empirical and policy-oriented research studies
- Coordinate with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and academic institutions
- Oversee data analysis, report writing, and publication of research outputs
- Mentor junior researchers and manage research teams
- Contribute to strategic planning and expansion of IGPC’s research agenda
Eligibility:
- Postgraduate/Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, Management, or related fields
- Significant experience in research, policy analysis, or academic work
- Strong background in quantitative methods, data analysis, and econometric tools
- Prior leadership or managerial experience in research roles preferred
