Clean Sports, National Law University Delhi, is organising the
National Article Writing Competition on the theme
“Governing Clean and Safe Sport: Ethics and Emerging Challenges.”
The competition invites original submissions on subjects including anti-doping law, athlete rights, intellectual property rights in sports, AI and e-sports regulation, TWAIL perspectives, and other emerging issues in sports law. It aims to encourage scholarly engagement with India’s evolving sports law framework.
Theme
The broad theme for the Article Writing Competition is ‘Governing Clean Sport: Ethics and Emerging Challenges.’ Participants may write on any of the topics which fall within the broad theme or as indicated in the subheadings below:
- Anti-doping law and the criminalisation of doping under Chapter VI A of the NADA Act, 2022.
- Athlete rights, due process, and natural justice before CAS and domestic disciplinary tribunals.
- The National Sports Governance Act, 2025.
- Intellectual Property Rights in Sports: Broadcasting Rights, Athlete personality/publicity rights, and sponsorship.
- Emerging issues: AI- assisted officiating and performance analytics, e-sports regulation and NFTs in sports.
- Comparative and TWAIL perspectives on global sports governance and the Global South’s position within WADA/CAS structures.
Eligibility
The competition is open to:
- Undergraduate law students.
- Postgraduate law students.
- Researchers.
- Academicians.
- Lawyers.
Co-authorship is permitted.
Submission Guidelines
- Articles must be between 3,000 and 5,000 words.
- Submissions should be based on the prescribed theme.
Prizes
- First prize: Certificate & cash award (Rs.10000)
- Second Prize: Certificate & cash award (Rs. 8000)
- Third Prize: Certificate & cash award (Rs.5000)

20 September 2026.
Result Declaration
15 October 2026.
