ABOUT 1st CLIENT COUNSELING COMPETITION:
The 1st Client Counseling Competition 2026, organised by Canonsphere, is a virtual event aimed at enhancing the practical counseling and client interaction skills of law students.
Theme: Corporate Counsel: From Brief to Resolution
The competition requires participants to engage with a simulated legal problem and advise a client in a structured setting. The problem will focus on real-life legal issues, requiring participants to identify relevant facts, analyse legal concerns, and provide appropriate guidance while maintaining professional ethics and effective communication. Participants are expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of client needs, legal reasoning, and interpersonal skills essential for legal practice. The competition shall be governed by these rules, and all participants shall be deemed to have read and understood them.
REQUIREMENTS
- Access to a laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection.
- Organized, punctual, and enthusiastic.
- Detail-oriented and responsive on communication platforms (e.g., WhatsApp, Email).
- Comfortable taking instructions and staying in character as a client during rounds.
WORK DESCRIPTION
- Assume the role of a client during the competition rounds, based on the provided problem brief.
- Understand and retain the facts of the case thoroughly to interact realistically with participants.
- Coordinate with the organizing team and follow instructions accurately.
- Dedicate 2 hours on the day of the competition
