Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic legal advice to the executive team, senior leadership, and the board across all legal domains.

Serve as the primary legal point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, offering legal guidance, solutions, and document oversight.

Function as the General Counsel for operations in the US, UK, Australia, and India, coordinating with external legal firms in each jurisdiction.

Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements including employment contracts, NDAs, vendor and customer agreements.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the organization’s business operations and its legal documentation.

Conduct legal research and support the company’s litigation strategy when facing legal challenges.

Develop legal directives and ensure documentation of corporate actions and board decisions.

Ensure preservation of corporate records and handle all necessary statutory and licensing filings.

Collaborate with external legal counsels on specialized assignments and matters.

Lead formation of new entities and oversee the management of the organization’s intellectual property portfolio.

Oversee legal due diligence for equity fundraising, M&A, and internal audits.
Qualifications

A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized and reputed law school.

Minimum 4 years of legal practice in a law firm or corporate in-house legal department.

Solid experience with fund investments, venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions.

In-depth understanding of corporate governance and corporate secretarial responsibilities.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Strong familiarity with relevant business laws, rules, and regulatory frameworks.

Ability to navigate sensitive business issues with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Prior experience working in US or international corporate law environments is highly desirable.
