The Community for the Eradication of Discrimination in Education and Employment (CEDE) is a network of lawyers, law firms, judges, organisations, and legal professionals working to improve representation and diversity within the Indian legal profession.
Through its internship programme, CEDE connects law students from marginalised backgrounds with empanelled lawyers, law firms, and organisations across multiple areas of legal practice, thereby providing exposure to professional legal environments and mentorship opportunities.
Position Overview
CEDE has opened applications for its 10th Internship Cohort, offering internship opportunities for law students from marginalised backgrounds across the Indian legal profession.
Selected interns will be placed with empanelled legal professionals and organisations to gain practical exposure to legal work, research, and professional mentorship.
Eligibility Criteria
- Law students from marginalised backgrounds.
- Students interested in gaining exposure to different areas of legal practice.
- Applicants committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal profession.
Duration
Internships are available during May, June, and July 2026.
Education
- Students currently pursuing LL.B. or integrated law programmes from recognised universities.

- Professional attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
Commitment
- Selected candidates must participate in a mandatory interview as part of the selection process.

- Conduct legal research on assigned topics.
- Assist empanelled lawyers and organisations in legal work.
- Support drafting, case preparation, or policy-related assignments depending on the placement.
- Participate in professional discussions and mentorship opportunities.
