About the Organization

Kabi and Associates is a specialized Arbitration Law Chamber based in Delhi, focusing exclusively on matters related to construction arbitration. The firm provides a wide range of legal services including claim preparation, documentation, pre-arbitral support, settlement negotiations, and contract advisory. With expertise in handling complex arbitration disputes, the chamber assists clients in navigating the intricate framework of contract and arbitration law. Its work involves representing clients before arbitral tribunals and ensuring that claims and defenses are strategically structured for favorable outcomes. By combining legal acumen with industry-specific insights, Kabi and Associates has positioned itself as a niche law practice, offering a highly professional environment for budding lawyers who are eager to gain hands-on experience in arbitration and dispute resolution.

Eligibility

The internship is designed for law students who are currently in their penultimate or final year of a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. program. Applicants must demonstrate a clear interest in arbitration law, construction law, contract law, or related commercial legal fields. Strong legal research and writing skills are essential, as the role demands the preparation of detailed memos, briefs, and submissions. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and basic documentation tools is also required, as interns will assist in managing case files and internal trackers. While prior exposure to arbitration or litigation is not mandatory, candidates who have engaged with dispute resolution subjects academically or practically will be at an advantage. This internship is ideal for students who are committed to building a career in arbitration and infrastructure-related disputes, and who are prepared to work in a structured, fast-paced professional environment.

Role

Selected interns will be working in-office at the Delhi chamber and will provide vital support to the arbitration team. Their responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and finalizing pleadings, applications, replies, and submissions before arbitral tribunals. Interns will be tasked with conducting in-depth research on arbitration law, contract law, and construction law to support ongoing cases. They will also assist in preparing case briefs, legal notes, and research memos for both internal and external use. Additionally, interns will help maintain case files, track case progress, and prepare chronologies of events to aid the legal team. They may also be involved in preparing documents for arbitral hearings, assisting in briefings, and compiling supporting material. Subject to confidentiality, interns may attend client meetings or arbitral hearings, gaining exposure to real-world proceedings. The role provides a well-rounded experience of arbitration practice and develops both research and practical legal skills.

How to Apply

Interested students must apply exclusively through the Google Form provided in the official internship announcement. Applications sent via email or other modes will not be considered. The deadline for applying is 10th September 2025 for the October internship and 30th September 2025 for the November internship. Since only two internship positions are available, candidates are encouraged to apply early to secure their place. The internship will be conducted at the firm’s office in Delhi, making it suitable for students who can commit to an in-office experience. Applicants should ensure their CVs and details submitted through the form accurately reflect their academic background, legal interests, and skills. This is a valuable opportunity to gain structured exposure in construction arbitration under the guidance of experienced professionals, making it ideal for law students who aspire to specialize in dispute resolution.
