Eligibility
The internship program is open to law students who have reached a certain stage in their legal education. For those enrolled in a five-year integrated law course, students in their third year and above are eligible to apply. In the case of the three-year LL.B. program, students must be in their second year or higher to qualify. This eligibility criterion ensures that applicants have a foundational understanding of legal principles and can contribute meaningfully during the internship. The program is designed for candidates who are motivated, eager to learn, and interested in gaining exposure to the functioning of a professional law firm.
Role
Interns at Maximus Legal® are given the chance to experience both onsite and remote modes of internship, depending on their convenience and availability. They will be engaged in assignments such as legal research, drafting documents, and assisting with ongoing matters under the supervision of senior associates and partners. The work is structured to ensure that interns understand not only the black letter of the law but also how legal principles are applied in practice. This hands-on experience provides valuable insights into case preparation, compliance tasks, and client advisory processes. Interns will also gain exposure to different practice areas of the firm, which will broaden their learning horizon and practical application of legal knowledge.
