Eligibility
The internship program is open to students pursuing or who have recently completed B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) or B.B.A. LL.B. from recognized law schools. A strong academic foundation in corporate and commercial laws is expected, along with prior exposure to corporate law firms or transactional work, which is considered an added advantage. Candidates must possess strong analytical and research skills, good drafting and writing abilities, and familiarity with statutes such as company law and allied legislations. Proficiency in MS Office and legal databases like Manupatra and SCC Online is essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively and meet strict deadlines.
Role and Responsibilities
Interns at the Corporate Wing of SolicitorsIndia Law Offices play an active role in supporting the firm’s legal and advisory functions. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth research on company law, securities law, FEMA, taxation, and related corporate regulations, as well as preparing legal notes, memos, and opinions. Interns assist in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, NDAs, shareholders’ agreements, and other corporate documents. They also support compliance and regulatory filings with MCA/ROC, RBI, and SEBI. Participation in due diligence exercises for mergers, joint ventures, and investments is another critical component. Additionally, interns are encouraged to contribute to knowledge management initiatives and may engage in supervised client interactions.
