Eligibility
The internship is open to law students in their 4th or 5th year of a five-year integrated programme, as well as those in the final year of a three-year LL.B. course. Applicants should have a genuine interest in litigation, particularly in the areas of commercial law, white-collar crime, and financial frauds. The role requires students who are diligent, detail-oriented, and committed to learning through active engagement in legal research, drafting, and case preparation. Prior exposure through moot courts, research papers, or internships in litigation-focused offices will be advantageous but is not mandatory. The internship is best suited for students who wish to gain practical insight into how complex commercial and criminal matters are handled in real-world scenarios.
Role
Selected interns will have the opportunity to work closely with the chamber on ongoing litigation and research assignments. The role will include assisting in drafting legal documents, preparing briefs, conducting in-depth legal research, and observing court proceedings where applicable. Interns will be exposed to live matters involving commercial disputes and white-collar crimes, giving them an understanding of the nuances of courtroom strategy and client handling. The environment at the chambers emphasizes learning by doing, ensuring that students develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
