Eligibility
The internship is open exclusively to law students currently in their penultimate or final year of an LL.B. or integrated B.A./B.B.A. LL.B. programme. Candidates residing in New Delhi will be given preference, as the internship is full-time and requires in-person presence at the firm’s office. Applicants should demonstrate strong legal research and writing skills, along with an interest in litigation, corporate, or commercial laws. Good command over English, particularly in legal drafting and communication, will be considered a significant advantage. The opportunity is designed for motivated students who are eager to learn by engaging with real cases, handling live matters, and contributing meaningfully to the firm’s work.
Role
Selected interns will gain exposure to a diverse range of matters handled by the firm, including civil and criminal litigation, arbitration, regulatory advisory, and international policy issues. The internship offers an immersive experience where interns will assist in conducting legal research, preparing case notes, and drafting legal documents under the supervision of experienced advocates. Interns will also have the chance to observe court proceedings, contribute to client-related work, and support the preparation of case files. Since KMJ Legal accepts only three interns for September 2025, each intern will have the opportunity to work closely with the team, ensuring individualized guidance and a meaningful learning experience. This role is particularly suited for students interested in pursuing careers in litigation or commercial practice.
