Eligibility
This internship opportunity is open to law students who are keen to gain practical experience in corporate and financial legal work. Applicants should possess strong research, drafting, and analytical skills, along with a keen interest in commercial and financial laws. Since the role involves exposure to the legal aspects of lending, compliance, and documentation, attention to detail and a professional approach will be highly valued. While prior internship experience in corporate law or financial services will be an advantage, it is not mandatory. The internship is ideal for students who wish to bridge academic knowledge with practical insights into the functioning of corporate legal teams in the finance industry.
Role
The interns will be working closely with the in-house legal team of Vistaar Finance and will gain hands-on exposure to the legal side of financial services. Responsibilities may include assisting in the drafting and reviewing of loan agreements and other contractual documents, conducting research on relevant laws and regulations, and supporting compliance-related tasks. Interns may also work on case management, internal legal processes, and liaise with external counsels where required. This role provides an excellent opportunity to understand the regulatory framework governing MSME and SME financing, while also learning how legal teams function within the financial services industry. The experience is designed to build professional competence and prepare students for careers in corporate or financial law.
