About the Organization
The Office of Astha Garg is a growing legal practice that provides advisory and litigation services across a range of areas including corporate laws, commercial disputes, data privacy, and regulatory matters. The office is dedicated to offering practical and effective legal solutions while ensuring that interns gain meaningful exposure to diverse aspects of law. With a strong focus on professional growth, the office offers a collaborative learning environment where interns are encouraged to participate actively in case preparation, legal drafting, and research. Interns will get the opportunity to interact closely with the supervising advocate and understand the nuances of legal practice in both advisory and litigation contexts.
Eligibility
The internship is open to law students currently in their 3rd or 4th year of study from reputed law schools. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated interest in corporate laws, data privacy regulations, commercial litigation, and current legal developments. Applicants are expected to have strong analytical skills, a keen interest in practical legal issues, and the ability to engage in detailed legal research and drafting. Students with prior internship experience in related fields will have an added advantage. Since the internship involves handling real assignments, commitment, discipline, and good communication skills are highly valued in the selection process.
Role and Responsibilities
Interns selected for the September 2025 program will gain hands-on experience in legal practice under direct supervision. Their responsibilities will include conducting in-depth research on corporate and data privacy laws, drafting legal documents, preparing case briefs, and assisting in litigation-related tasks. Interns may also be involved in reviewing regulatory updates, drafting opinions, and helping in the preparation of arguments for court proceedings. They will observe the workflow of a legal office and develop skills necessary for both advisory and litigation practice. The experience is designed to help interns bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application in the legal profession.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should submit their curriculum vitae along with a well-written covering letter to adv.asthagarg@gmail.com. The subject line of the email must read: “Internship Opportunity_AGA_September 2025.” The cover letter should highlight the applicant’s academic interests, relevant experiences, and motivation for applying to this internship. Applications will be assessed on the basis of clarity, demonstrated interest in the mentioned practice areas, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to the office’s work. Since only three internship positions are available for this cycle, candidates are encouraged to apply at the earliest. The internship will commence on 01st September 2025 and will run for the month of September.
