Position Overview:

Gateley is seeking a Legal Secretary to join its Complex International Recovery Work (CIRW) team in London. The role involves providing high-level secretarial and administrative support to senior lawyers, including Partner Kiran McCarthy, in handling complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes and asset recovery matters.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial support including diary management, document drafting, and file management
  • Prepare and amend legal documents and correspondence to a high standard
  • Liaise with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders professionally
  • Manage billing processes and maintain accurate financial records
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and meeting logistics
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures

Eligibility:

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience as a Legal Secretary (preferably in litigation/dispute resolution)
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
