Position Overview:
Gateley is seeking a Legal Secretary to join its Complex International Recovery Work (CIRW) team in London. The role involves providing high-level secretarial and administrative support to senior lawyers, including Partner Kiran McCarthy, in handling complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes and asset recovery matters.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive secretarial support including diary management, document drafting, and file management
- Prepare and amend legal documents and correspondence to a high standard
- Liaise with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders professionally
- Manage billing processes and maintain accurate financial records
- Coordinate travel arrangements and meeting logistics
- Ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures
Eligibility:
- Minimum 12 months’ experience as a Legal Secretary (preferably in litigation/dispute resolution)
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
