Position Overview:
The firm is seeking a motivated Paralegal to support its private client practice. The role offers hands-on exposure to wills, probate, and tax planning work, with an opportunity to develop specialization in Islamic succession planning within English law.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conducting legal research and assisting in drafting legal documents
- Reviewing statutes, regulations, and legal materials
- Assisting in preparation of contracts, briefs, and legal correspondence
- Managing and organizing case files and documentation systems
- Liaising with clients, witnesses, and stakeholders
- Attending court hearings and assisting with administrative tasks
- Supporting the legal team in probate, trusts, and Court of Protection matters
- Monitoring legal developments relevant to private client practice
Eligibility:
- Law degree / GDL / CILEx qualification preferred (non-law graduates may apply with relevant interest)
- 1–3 years’ experience in private client work preferred
- Interest in Shariah law and its application under English law
- Knowledge of civil litigation and court procedures (desirable)
- Strong organisational, analytical, and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail and willingness to learn
