About the Organization
The Institute for Social Studies Trust (ISST) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing social welfare, justice, and equality for marginalized and vulnerable populations. Registered with NITI AAYOG, ISST actively engages in legal aid services, awareness campaigns, and community-based social justice programs. The Trust prioritizes child rights, women’s safety, and gender equity through education, grassroots action, and policy advocacy.
Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualifications

Open to students pursuing degrees in Law or Social Work.
Skill Requirements

Proficiency in graphic design tools, especially Canva.

Demonstrated interest in legal aid, social justice, human rights, and community service.

Strong communication, reporting, and content creation skills.
Internship Responsibilities
The internship is structured over four weeks (20th June to 20th July 2025) and includes a diverse range of practical engagements:
Week 1 – Field Research & Surveys

Conduct ground-level surveys in areas impacted by child labour.

Collect primary data and photographic documentation focused on human rights, legal assistance, child welfare, and women’s empowerment.
Week 2 – Collaborative Work & Seminar Coordination

Work in teams of five to design brochures, develop thematic content, and manage outreach via social media.

Assist in organizing the National Seminar on Child Rights, Development & Care, including tasks such as participant registration and event coordination.

Opportunity to present a research paper during the seminar.

Contribute to fundraising, content creation, graphic design, and digital campaigns.
Week 3 – Reporting

Prepare a detailed report based on the fieldwork conducted.

Submit the compiled document for evaluation by ISST.
Week 4 – Article Writing

Write and submit an article on a relevant theme (e.g., human rights, legal aid, child welfare, women’s empowerment) using real data gathered during the internship.

Outstanding submissions may be considered for publication.
Mode of Internship

Online, with scheduled local field visits as part of the field-based assignments.
