About the Role

As a Junior Associate, you will be entrusted with eDiscovery document review assignments, focusing on evaluating and interpreting electronic documents with the highest level of accuracy and quality. Your primary task will be to determine whether documents are privileged, responsive, or relevant to a legal matter, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards. This role demands precision, analytical thinking, and a detail-oriented mindset, as you will be working on high-profile cases involving sensitive information. At the end of the day, your work will contribute significantly to case outcomes and client satisfaction, making it both a challenging and rewarding position.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will perform a first-level review of documents to assess their relevance and privilege status in various legal matters. You will identify crucial information, log key documents into review tools, and communicate findings effectively to the Team Lead. Meeting client specifications, adhering to deadlines, and ensuring a “first-time-right” approach will be central to your success. You may also be assigned special tasks or projects based on operational needs. This role requires a commitment to quality and the ability to adapt quickly to different case requirements while working with a diverse range of legal documents and scenarios.

Essential Skills

To excel as a Junior Associate in eDiscovery, you must demonstrate strong attention to detail and solid analytical capabilities. Proficiency in MS Excel is important for tracking and documenting information. The role may involve working overtime, including evenings and weekends, especially when deadlines are tight. You should be able to perform well under pressure while maintaining accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills will help you collaborate effectively with your team and clients. Familiarity with eDiscovery tools and processes is an added advantage, but a willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies is equally valued in this position.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree. While previous eDiscovery experience of up to one year is beneficial, fresh graduates who demonstrate strong potential and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. This role is based in Noida, and candidates must be willing to work on-site. The position offers a permanent role with an initial probation period of six months, providing you with an opportunity to prove your abilities and grow in the organization.
