Position Overview
Jacobs is offering a compelling opportunity for a qualified legal professional to join its dynamic legal division. We are seeking lawyers with 4–8 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a strong academic background and practical expertise in the infrastructure, engineering, construction, or services sectors. About the Legal Team
Globally, Jacobs’ legal department comprises over 150 professionals, including more than 15 based in India. The legal team partners closely with our sales, operations, and leadership teams. This specific role supports the People Places & Solutions (P&PS) Line of Business for North America and is based in our Gurugram office.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the U.S.-based attorney overseeing design-build projects in the Americas, you will provide remote legal support to the P&PS North America team. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a broad range of contracts related to construction and services—from bidding to final negotiation and execution.

Handling agreements with clients, joint ventures, subcontractors, and confidentiality contracts.

Supporting the streamlined contract process under existing frameworks.

Reviewing deviations from standard terms and assisting with contract management.

Drafting and reviewing legal correspondence, such as exclusivity letters and non-exclusive consultant agreements.
Preferred (Not Mandatory) International Experience

Familiarity with U.S. state and local procurement regulations.

Experience with the design aspects of design-build initiatives.

Knowledge of joint ventures and LLCs, including governance.

Understanding of insurance types like general liability and builder’s risk.

Involvement in bid protest procedures.

Experience managing contract databases and analysing contract-related KPIs.
