Role & Responsibilities
The Legal & Compliance Associate will be responsible for a range of legal and secretarial duties essential to the smooth functioning of corporate governance processes. The role includes assisting in the preparation of agendas, issuing notices, drafting resolutions, and maintaining comprehensive meeting documentation. You’ll also help coordinate Annual General Meetings (AGMs), including recording and drafting minutes, ensuring legal precision and regulatory compliance. The position requires maintaining statutory records and company registers in accordance with applicable laws. You will also collaborate with external regulatory authorities, legal consultants, and auditors. Responsibilities further extend to reviewing contracts, tracking compliance deadlines, and staying abreast of evolving legal norms within the fintech space.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a graduate degree in Law (LL.B.), Business Administration, or a related discipline. Applicants must bring 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in legal, secretarial, or regulatory compliance roles. Strong knowledge of Indian corporate laws, SEBI regulations, and experience with statutory filings is a must. An aptitude for meticulous documentation, excellent communication, and a proactive organizational approach will distinguish the candidate. Those with exposure to working in technology or product-based companies—particularly within the fintech sector—will be preferred. The ability to handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and regulatory alignment is key for success in this role.
