About the Role
We are hiring a Legal Counsel to support the legal and compliance functions for Beckman Coulter and Danaher Diagnostics businesses in India. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Mumbai, reporting directly to the India Country Counsel.
What You’ll Do
As Legal Counsel, you will be a strategic partner to commercial teams, managing a wide spectrum of legal matters and ensuring robust compliance frameworks across functions. You will:

Provide legal advice on contractual matters, disputes, risk assessment, and regulatory obligations

Support manufacturing operations and interdepartmental initiatives

Drive compliance training and programs aligned with local and global standards
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management

Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts to align with legal standards and business goals

Identify legal risks and resolve disputes effectively
-
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory frameworks
Litigation & Dispute Resolution

Manage litigation, regulatory investigations, and disputes related to medical devices
-
Coordinate with external legal counsel as required
Risk Management

Identify and mitigate legal risks related to product liability, IP, labeling, and advertising

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement proactive risk management strategies
Compliance Training & Program Development

Establish and maintain compliance programs for anti-corruption, healthcare regulations, and product standards

Conduct training sessions to promote a compliance-first culture
Cross-Functional Legal Support

Advise and coordinate with sales, marketing, finance, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to ensure all activities are legally compliant
Qualifications

Minimum 12 years of legal experience, preferably in the medical devices or healthcare sector

Exposure to both private practice and in-house legal roles

Deep understanding of India’s legal and regulatory landscape

Strong knowledge of global compliance frameworks and corporate governance
Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with industry benchmarks and candidate experience.
