About the Role
Our client, a globally recognized leader in publishing scientific, technical, and medical content, is seeking a highly skilled Legal Editor to contribute to an innovative AI-based legal content initiative. This is a 100% remote position that begins as a two-month contract with the potential for extension or transition into a permanent role. The selected candidate will play a key part in testing and evaluating outputs generated by a Large Language Model (LLM) designed to produce draft U.S. legal content. Key Responsibilities
As a Legal Editor, your primary role will be to review, evaluate, and provide feedback on AI-generated legal drafts. You will assess accuracy, clarity, and compliance with U.S. legal standards, ensuring that the model’s outputs align with the required professional quality. The work will involve legal research, analysis, and the careful review of various litigation-related documents. Additionally, you will work closely with project leads, ask relevant questions when clarification is needed, and adjust to evolving project demands. You must be comfortable working with multiple software tools and Excel spreadsheets, while meeting set quotas and deadlines without compromising quality.
Required Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you must hold a law degree and have 1 to 5 years of litigation experience. Strong legal research and analysis skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of U.S. legal documents and content. You should possess excellent written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities. Familiarity with Excel and comfort working in technology-driven environments are key. You should also be confident in asking clarifying questions and capable of producing a high volume of work while delivering accurate and insightful feedback on AI-generated legal products.
