About the Role
The Legal Intern will play a vital role in strengthening Statiq’s internal governance, compliance, and operational processes. Working under the guidance of experienced legal professionals, the intern will handle real-time projects in areas such as legal compliance, process audits, intellectual property (IP) research, and contract lifecycle management. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to understand and improve legal workflows while ensuring regulatory adherence. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in corporate law, contract vetting, and policy alignment within a dynamic tech-driven industry, making it an ideal opportunity for students eager to build a strong foundation in corporate legal practice.
Internship Details
The internship is offered for a duration of 3–6 months, with flexible working modes – hybrid or full-time office. However, interns choosing the work-from-home option must commit to working from the office for at least one month during the internship period. Interns will gain exposure to critical areas such as corporate compliance, contract management, intellectual property rights, and internal policy development. This structure ensures that participants receive practical insights into the legal functioning of a startup operating at the intersection of technology and sustainability. The role also includes professional growth opportunities through guidance, mentorship, and active involvement in legal strategy.
Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for creating mechanisms to track legal process audits, identifying compliance gaps, and recommending actionable solutions. Responsibilities include assisting in drafting and vetting contracts, conducting legal research, and contributing to intellectual property documentation. The role also involves working with cross-functional teams to streamline legal workflows, maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), and supporting internal meetings, negotiations, and compliance reviews. The intern will have the opportunity to engage with legal issues involving both law and technology, building skills in research, analysis, and documentation. Proactiveness, reliability, and a willingness to learn are key traits for success in this role.
