About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Officer to join our Legal & Regulatory Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations across all business activities, particularly in contract management and corporate legal operations. This role demands a high degree of precision in drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documents, while also providing strategic legal advice to support business decisions. The Legal Officer will work closely with multiple departments, external counsel, and government authorities to safeguard the company’s legal and regulatory standing.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all legal obligations in relation to contracts, agreements, and business transactions.

Draft, review, and vet legal documents, including written statements, contractual agreements, and responses to legal notices.

Prepare concise case summaries and maintain comprehensive documentation for legal proceedings.

Manage daily legal correspondence, both internally and with external stakeholders.

Draft and submit replies to government notices, regulatory inquiries, and tax department communications.

Oversee subcontract agreement execution, labour license compliance under the CLRA Act, and filing of Unified Annual Returns (CLRA & MW Acts).

Coordinate with external law firms and advisors to manage ongoing legal matters efficiently.
Desired Skills & Qualifications

Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.

In-depth knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and labour compliance regulations.

Strong drafting skills with a keen eye for detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle negotiations and legal correspondence effectively.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments within tight deadlines.

Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools to streamline legal processes.
