π§βπΌ Role Overview
GAIN is hiring a Legal Systems and Administrative Assistant to support its global legal team. This role focuses on managing legal contracts, supporting compliance efforts, and improving administrative processes. It is a full-time position based in either Nairobi, Kenya, or New Delhi, India, and will be offered on a two-year fixed-term contract (subject to funding availability).
π Key Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact for Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and assist staff with the CLM system.

Support updates and testing of CLM features; liaise with external providers.

Coordinate country office calls, take minutes, and ensure regulatory compliance follow-ups.

Maintain up-to-date compliance documentation with support from country teams and legal counsel.

Assist in preparing documents related to decisions by GAIN’s Board of Directors.

Help with bank mandate preparations and updating the Legal SharePoint site.

Process invoices for legal services.
π Eligibility Criteria

A degree or diploma in law or a related field.

Prior experience handling legal documents and understanding basic contracts.

Familiarity with administrative tasks in a legal setting (preferably international development).

Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Knowledge of an additional language (e.g., French) is an advantage.
