About the Ministry:
The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) is a key department under the Government of India, responsible for drafting and implementing policies, laws, and programs that focus on the advancement and protection of women and children across the country.
Internship Overview:
MWCD is inviting applications for its Internship Programme from women students, scholars, educators, and social activists currently enrolled in or associated with academic or non-academic institutions. The program aims to provide participants with hands-on exposure to the Ministry’s ongoing initiatives, enabling them to conduct micro-studies or pilot projects. The experience is designed to deepen their understanding of policies impacting women and children, while empowering them to advocate for related issues in the future.
Eligibility Criteria:

Open to women from non-Tier I cities and rural regions of India.

Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 40.

Must be currently associated with a recognized academic or non-academic institution.
Stipend & Benefits:

Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹20,000 per month.

Travel expenses for joining and completing the internship (via AC 3-tier train or deluxe/AC bus) will be reimbursed.

Shared hostel accommodation will be provided in Delhi for the duration of the program.
Internship Schedule:
The program is divided into four cycles throughout the financial year:

February–March
[Each session lasts for two months]

Available Positions:
Up to 20 interns will be selected for each batch.
Important Deadline:
Applications for the August–September session must be submitted between June 1 and June 10, 2025.
