About the Organiser
Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Professional Studies (ADGIPS), Delhi, established in 2003, is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and recognized by the Bar Council of India. The institute focuses on academic excellence, research, and practical legal training through initiatives like moot courts and legal aid programs.
About the Competition
The 1st All India Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Moot Court Competition, 2026 (ADGMCC’26) is a national-level moot court competition scheduled to be held on 28–29 April 2026. It is designed to simulate real courtroom proceedings and enhance participants’ advocacy, drafting, research, and oratory skills.
Objective:
- To develop advocacy and litigation skills among law students
- To enhance legal research, drafting, and analytical abilities
- To provide practical exposure to courtroom procedures
- To engage with contemporary legal issues like cybercrime and AI
Participants must:
- Participate in teams of 3 members (2 speakers + 1 researcher)
- Prepare memorials and present oral arguments
- Engage in all rounds including prelims and advanced rounds
- Adhere to competition rules and timelines
Eligibility
- Open to students enrolled in 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. programs
- Institution must be recognized by the Bar Council of India
- No restriction on number of teams per institution
