About the Competition
The 1st All India Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Moot Court Competition, 2026 (ADGMCC’26) is a national-level moot court competition scheduled to be held on 28–29 April 2026. It is designed to simulate real courtroom proceedings and enhance participants’ advocacy, drafting, research, and oratory skills.
Objective:
- To develop advocacy and litigation skills among law students
- To enhance legal research, drafting, and analytical abilities
- To provide practical exposure to courtroom procedures
- To engage with contemporary legal issues like cybercrime and AI
Participants must:
- Participate in teams of 3 members (2 speakers + 1 researcher)
- Prepare memorials and present oral arguments
- Engage in all rounds including prelims and advanced rounds
- Adhere to competition rules and timelines
Eligibility
- Open to students enrolled in 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. programs
- Institution must be recognized by the Bar Council of India
- No restriction on number of teams per institution
