About the Competition
वि-सहा-यो (Vi-Saha-Yo) – 1st National Legal Aid Scheme Drafting Competition, 2026 is a unique initiative focusing on practical policy implementation in legal aid. The competition encourages participants to design effective legal aid schemes rather than merely theoretical frameworks.
Objective:
- To promote practical understanding of legal aid implementation
- To develop scheme drafting and policy-making skills
- To enhance analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- To encourage youth participation in legal policy discourse
Participants must:
- Draft a comprehensive legal aid scheme (Phase 1 – Online)
- Present the scheme before an expert panel if shortlisted (Phase 2 – Offline)
Eligibility
- Open to students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year law courses from BCI-recognised institutions
- Multiple entries from the same institution are allowed
Mode: (Online submission + Offline final presentation)

- Single Author: ₹500
- Co-Author: ₹600
Prizes
- Winner: ₹11,000 + Trophy
- 1st Runner-Up: ₹7,500 + Trophy
- 2nd Runner-Up: ₹5,000 + Trophy
- Certificates for all participants and merit holders
