The Chambers of Advocate Himanshu Yadav operates within a high-stakes Advocate-on-Record (AoR) practice environment. The office handles a diverse range of matters before the Supreme Court of India and various district and high courts across the Delhi NCR region, offering a rigorous training ground for future litigators.
Position Overview
This internship is designed for students who are serious about a career in core litigation. Unlike a standard research internship, this role offers “front-row” access to the Supreme Court and regional courts, focusing on the practical transition of a case from the drafting table to the courtroom.
Roles and Responsibilities

Court Assistance: Accompanying the counsel to the Supreme Court and NCR courts for hearings and filings.

Drafting: Assisting in the preparation of SLPs (Special Leave Petitions), Writ Petitions, and applications.

Litigation Strategy: Gaining insight into the procedural nuances of an AoR practice and case strategy development.

Research & Preparation: Conducting specialized legal research and preparing comprehensive case notes for upcoming arguments.
Eligibility

Education: 4th or 5th-year students (5-year program) or students currently in a 3-year LL.B. program.

Skills: Basic but sound knowledge of substantive and procedural laws (CPC, CrPC/BNS, Evidence/BSA).

Experience: Prior experience in legal drafting and attending court proceedings is preferred.

Attributes: Strong inclination towards litigation and the physical stamina/willingness to travel across various courts in Delhi NCR.
