About YLCube Foundation

The Young Leaders for Legal Literacy Foundation (YLCube Foundation) is a non-profit organization committed to advancing socio-legal research, spreading legal literacy, and offering legal aid across India. The foundation seeks to inspire students to walk the path of integrity by encouraging meaningful interaction with legal experts and active engagement in research, writing, and academic discourse.

YLCube has delivered 100+ legal literacy programs across Indian districts, published over 30 legal research reports, and worked with 5,000+ students. Its efforts have been acknowledged by institutions such as the International Criminal Court, The Hague, the United Nations Harmony with Nature Programme, and International Bridges for Justice, Switzerland. The foundation has also partnered with global academic entities like Oxford Pro Bono Publico and Clinton Global Initiative University.

The foundation’s think tank spans diverse focus areas including medical law, environmental law, international criminal law, and psycho-legal studies, all operated on a pro bono basis.

About the Internship

The YLCube Summer School 2025 welcomes law students to join its prestigious research program. In past editions, students from over 100 law schools have undertaken 50+ research projects exploring intersections of law with society, politics, philosophy, and public policy. This internship is ideal for those wishing to deepen their practical legal understanding while contributing to high-impact research.

Research Project Themes

  • EPSA: A Bharatiya model of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) ethics

  • International Relations: Rethinking democracy and governance from a Southern perspective

  • Indo-Africa Dialogue: Legal and policy partnerships in the Global South

  • Criminal Law: Tracing colonial legacies in criminal justice systems

  • IPR Law: NFTs and their legal-ethical implications for digital art

Vacancies

  • 2 interns per research project

Skills and Qualifications

  • Regular law students preferred

  • Open to young professionals in law or related fields

  • Must be proficient in legal writing and citation practices

Internship Duration

  • Two months with flexible working hours
