Position Overview
The firm is looking for a Senior Legal Associate to join its team in Ahmedabad. This role is pivotal in driving the company’s success in the renewable energy sector, requiring a professional who can handle complex commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional business partnering in a fast-paced environment.
Eligibility Criteria

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent). Additional specialized knowledge in renewable energy law or policy is highly beneficial.

Experience: 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE), specifically within the renewable energy industry.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and an enthusiasm for learning new solar energy technologies and integration systems.

Professionalism: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills for stakeholder management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities

Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

Strategic Transactions: Providing essential legal and compliance support for strategic transactions and standardizing agreement toolkits based on negotiation learnings.

Regulatory Research: Conducting in-depth research on the compliance and regulatory frameworks pertaining to the solar industry, specifically across the U.S. market.

Cross-functional Support: Partnering with HR, Finance, Procurement, and Business Development teams to resolve day-to-day legal and contractual issues.

Governance: Assisting in corporate governance, drafting corporate policies, and preparing board resolutions.
