About the Event
The National Drafting Championship 2026 is a premier national-level academic competition designed to cultivate analytical thinking, structured writing, research aptitude, and problem-solving skills among participants from diverse educational backgrounds. The Championship brings together five distinct segments under one umbrella, creating a unique platform for participants to engage with contemporary legal, governance, policy, and societal issues through rigorous intellectual exercise, critical inquiry, and practical application.
Conceived as an interdisciplinary initiative, the Championship aims to encourage precision in expression, critical evaluation of complex issues, and the ability to develop well-reasoned solutions and arguments. Through participation, individuals enhance their writing, reasoning, and communication abilities while gaining exposure to real-world challenges relevant to governance, public policy, international relations, academia, law, and allied disciplines.
Who Can Participate?
- Contract / Treaty / Legislative / Policy Drafting Segments:
These segments are open to students currently enrolled in any recognized college or university in India, pursuing a graduation or a post graduation degree program from an institution duly recognized and accredited by the relevant statutory or regulatory authorities.
- Essay Writing Segment:
The Essay Writing segment is open exclusively to students presently studying in Class XI and XII.

Prizes
Cash Prize is upto 25k (5000 for each segment).
Winners of each segment : Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000, a winner’s trophy along with a Certificate of Merit.
Note: The Winner’s Trophy will be dispatched via courier to the Winner’s registered postal address and delivered in due course after the announcement of results.
Runner-Up : Certificate of Runner Up.
Please Note: All participants shall be awarded an E-Certificate of Participation in recognition of their participation in the competition.
