Internship Overview
Applications are now open for a special two-month internship opportunity offered by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, exclusively for women students, researchers, teachers, and social activists from non-Tier I cities and rural India. This initiative aims to familiarize interns with key government policies and programs related to women and children.
Selected participants will be expected to engage in micro-studies, pilot projects, and research-based assignments that align with the Ministry’s focus areas. The experience is designed to empower women to advocate more effectively for social issues across various platforms.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible candidates include:

Women currently enrolled in or affiliated with academic or non-academic institutions

Scholars, educators, and activists from non-metro areas or rural India
Selection Criteria
Interns will be shortlisted by a dedicated Selection Committee. The list of selected candidates will be published on the Internship Portal under the ‘Downloads’ section. Note: Candidates who have previously interned under this program are not eligible to reapply.
Stipend and Benefits
Each selected intern will receive:

A monthly stipend of ₹20,000

Reimbursement of travel expenses (via Deluxe/AC Bus or 3-Tier AC Train)

Optional hostel accommodation in Delhi with shared rooms and basic facilities (mattress not included)
