About the Foundation

Shuruwat Foundation is a government-registered NGO established in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh in 2019 and officially recognised by the government in March 2020. Over the years, the foundation has expanded its reach to Uttarakhand, growing into a dedicated family of passionate changemakers. Nature of the Internship

This internship offers participants the chance to actively contribute to meaningful social change while developing practical skills in writing, fundraising, marketing, and field outreach. Over the span of four weeks, interns will work on targeted projects aimed at creating awareness, mobilising resources, and directly supporting underprivileged communities. The programme follows a structured weekly plan, allowing interns to explore different facets of social work and community engagement. With tasks ranging from editorial writing to hands-on welfare activities, this internship is both impactful and personally rewarding.

Weekly Task Structure

  • Week 1 – Editorial Writing

  • Week 2 – Fundraising Activities
Interns will engage in creative and strategic fundraising initiatives to support the foundation’s ongoing projects, learning how to mobilise resources effectively.

  • Week 3 – PR & Marketing
This phase focuses on spreading awareness about Shuruwat Foundation’s work, including their efforts in distributing menstrual pads, empowering women, and providing basic amenities to those in need. Interns will share digital posters, circulate social media links, and engage with the public to amplify the organisation’s message.

  • Week 4 – Social Welfare Activities
Interns will participate in direct community service, such as distributing sanitary pads, food, and other essential items to underprivileged individuals, experiencing the ground-level impact of social work.
