Eligibility
The Keystone Partners Internship Program is designed for law students who have acquired substantial academic grounding and are preparing to transition into professional practice. The firm typically accepts interns who are in the 4th and 5th year of a five-year integrated LL.B. program or in the 3rd year of a three-year law degree program. This eligibility criterion helps the firm evaluate candidates better for potential recruitment after the internship, while also ensuring that interns possess the necessary foundational knowledge to contribute meaningfully. While competition is high, motivated students with strong research and drafting skills stand a better chance of selection. Given the large number of applications the firm receives annually, students are encouraged to apply well in advance to secure a place in the program.
Role and Responsibilities
Interns at Keystone Partners gain firsthand exposure to litigation and arbitration practices, making this program one of the most practical training opportunities available to law students. The internship involves extensive legal research, drafting, assistance with filing, and participation in conferences related to ongoing matters. Interns also get the unique opportunity to attend and observe court proceedings in cases they have contributed to, which significantly enhances their practical understanding of the legal process. The experience covers a wide spectrum of practice areas including arbitration, civil and commercial disputes, insolvency, corporate litigation, intellectual property, and public law. By working closely with experienced lawyers, interns develop valuable insights into courtroom advocacy, drafting precision, and client management. This hands-on involvement ensures that participants acquire practical knowledge that complements their academic learning and prepares them for future legal careers.
